Just six and a half months after renovations began on a former warehouse building in Newry, Northern Ireland, the worlds first Goss FPS press went into daily production there. Independent News and Medias new press is producing 100,000 copies daily of the Herald AM free commuter newspaper for Dublin, as well as other products including the Irish Star.
With four towers with 72-inch web widths, two 2:5:5 jaw folders, five formers and four Contiweb FD pasters, the press has the capacity to print 48-page full-color broadsheet products running straight and 69-page broadsheet products running collect.
