  • Ah yes, this was the advice that Harlan Ellison gave me years ago, and it is very true.

  • is it a good idea to wirte a script that is an hour long on your first video? Thats waht my friends are doing they think if they have a long script they will have a good movie

The way i make scripts is i like to keep it simple and learn more about how to make a film. These guys havent even made a video before and it is a bad idea to do that.

  • I feel you on the "Will they think" of ME thing.

  • My 2nd question: is it better to get the script produced locally in your area & then if it goes to a festival, then it might get picked up or better just to send it directly to LA? I have some connections w/ local film companies (in Kansas City) as well as a a really good talent manager in LA who reps my actor son, but I'm terrified to give her my work b/c of her relationship already as my son's manager. What if she doesn't like my script?

  • I think I have watched every video by this guy and I ma still left with a couple of questions. 1st, how do you know if your screenplay is truly good? I mean, I'm sure every writer who ever sent in a screenplay thought it was brilliant, but how can you really know?
