Really? Zoophile? Wow... Please don't tell me that you're own pets are just animals, that they aren't part of your family. Let me rephrase, they all treat her like another one of their adopted children. She IS part of their family. Just because you don't have the capacity to love animals and care for them the way they do doesn't mean it isn't possible and that Phil has to "[grow] a trunk" to include Dondi into the family. Get a new hobby, you won't win this.

actually i do....

and even the AZA does not condone keeping a lone female elephant. till Phil grows a trunk she cannot be family.

she is miserable . she needs the company of another elephants.

she gets plenty of interaction with other animals.. and so much love. As a close family friend, I've seen the behind the scenes. She is never beaten or shocked like other performing elephants. She is soooooo spoiled. So unless you have personal experience with her and the family then you should probably shut your mouth

To Clarasfriend: I know Dondi and her family personally. Dondi was saved, though I can't remember exactly what from. Phil and Francine and Josh are nothing but absolutely kinda to her, she is Josh's sister. They never hurt her, she's very obedient without the hook, it's just there for a "just in case". I understand that she ultimately belongs in nature but she's thirty+ years old and they've had her since she was about 4 months, she'd be too lost without them.
