King Curtis is one of the greatest sax players. In Memphis Soul Stew, King Curtis introduces the ingredients one by one. When everything is on board Memphis Soul Stew is bursting out. Musical fireworks and one of the best soul songs ever.
King Curtis was tragically stabbed to death in 1971.

Hi, I have this King Curtis song on 4 CD's and there is no part missing. However the live version (at Fillmore West) is an absolute marvel, lasting 8.23 minutes. You'll like it, I'm sure.

  • my dad used too blow the roof off the house with this jam thanks for posting

  • @kawiman09 Well… I can imagine how that worked: if one wants to hear distinctively the beginning it must have gone very loud when it all comes together. Hopefully the other people in the house liked it equally as you do. Kind regards from Antwerp, Belgium
