I mounted a video cam on the dashboard of my car and drove at normal speed into this small town in the south west of England. The speed is 30mph going down to 20mph. But once you increase the speed of the video then you get through the town from south or north at 60 - 90mph. Like all other towns this town is slowly increasing in size while the number of shops, inns, hotels and banks equally slowly decreases. Beaminster is a beautiful little town with a wonderful Arts Feastival in the middle of July.
It does feel sort of scary when speeded up, a bit like those safety training videos where something is about to shoot out from the side and then you have to react and slam the brakes on. I'm sure I've been through Beaminster, but I have to say I can't place it.
