I love this stuff. I saw Steve in Germany back in 1977 in Frankfurt. Wow what a show. In a tiny theatre. Blew my mind away. I have been a Hillage fan since High School in California back in 1974 I believe I was introduced to his music.

Perhaps I've been softened up by the noises made by others in the intervening years but hearing this has made me want to go back to it for another listen.

I bought those two albums when they came out, played them once and put them away again with murderous thoughts towards whoever it was that gave him a computer to play with. I think it was the 300 minute, tediously repetitive (impression left at the time) version of The Golden Vibe that caused the diamond to finally part company with this bit of vinyl for good.
