Materials used to build this shaving horse: 2x4, 2x6, 2x10 - all yellow pine, wood glue, wood screws, wood putty, and stain. I used what I had on hand. 1/2 inch threaded rod coarse with nuts and washers. 1 inch wide bar stock, 1/4 inch thick. Rubber kitchen drawer liner. Note cut the 4 legs long becuase you will lose length when you cut the final angle for the feet to rest solid on the floor. Tools used: imagination, safety glasses and hearing protection, radial arm saw, could use circular saw, cordless drill/driver, 11/16 inch spade drill bit (drill 1/2 way from each side of the 9 1/4 inch overall board), straight rule, putty knife, tape measure and square, hack saw, drill bit - metal cutting, saber saw, could use coping saw.

  • Just wanted to let you know I sent your screen name to my dad so he could check these out. Half the stuff your talking about I have no idea what it is but I dad will. I was actually trying to find the best way to build a swing set out of 6x6 lumber. Pop usually uses 3 4x4 post cuts notches half way to connect the top post so everything is flush and secure. Any way im sure pop will also send ya something on here. What part of GA. are you from?

    Thanks
