Southwest conference broke up and UH wasnt invited to the BIG12, so its always sweet to beat a BIG12 team, especially old SWCs rival like Tech. and so, we wanted to celebrate and congrat our boys.

It's not a matter of upsetting a ranked team or not.

There's no rule in the fan book saying you can only rush the field if you upset a high ranked team.

It's more that we were able to come back in the last quarter with a minute left in the game, considering our history with the Red Raiders.

I think that they make very strong weed in Houston because to even compare Conference USA to Big 12 is as intoxicated as one can get. Houston had a good start but its all downhill. You have not beaten a significant team since 1989. That in itself should tell you something.

As an older alum of UH, it should be obvious why everybody rushed the field. Nutz is right - every school in the Big 12 looks at Conference USA like it's a doormat. Truth is, the Big 12 is overrated. Beating one Big 12 team could be a fluke - beating two back to back isn't. This game was SO important to the university and the conference. The conference NEEDS a top 15 team - even if it's for a little while. Maybe the local papers will put UT on page two for a few days now.

I was at the game and I go to UH and I think we were so pumped cus we were just coming off beating the #5 team and we put so much hype around this game b4 hand. If you were there sitting in the student section you would know how crazy we were all gettting. It was well worth it, that might easily be the most memorable game I'll ever see................ and the game was on ESPN, we had no choice but rush.

I'm curious... Not being an ass or anything... Why did you guys rush the field? Weren't you a ranked team playing an unranked opponent? Did you not expect to win?

Good game anyway... Case is a great quarterback and Kevin Sumlin is an amazing coach. Congrats.
