PM Jim Motherwell, formerly The Queen's Own Piper from the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, visited Honolulu to help celebrate the birthday of Robert Burns, national poet of Scotland. He and Coreyanne Armstrong from the Celtic Pipes and Drums of Hawaii play together on one set of pipes - "Scotland the Brave" and "Itchy Fingers" at O'Toole's Irish Pub in Chinatown.

  • Yes - lots of mistakes - all mine obviously (Coreyanne) - and I can't blame it on scotch because I'm two months pregnant!! But I can say - that's a lot harder than it looks!! :) But fun!!

  • navypiper - Unless Jim answers I don't know for sure, but it was probably him you saw since he does gigs like that - NCPiper - I agree, what's the big deal? I live in Hawaii and just posted this so my dad a big piping fan could see it - and finally, the fingers on the back - that was what I (the amateur) kept messing up. Jim was really good at making the hand not on the chanter really do it's job and I kept slacking off on that hand, and it really messes with your head when the other hand stops

  • an amerikan could have done the gig cheaper!

  • Regarding recent "piping forum" posts, I'm not so sure what all the noise is about regarding this video, Jim, or how the man is paid. Internet drama - more self promotion than substance.
