This is a great song from José González.
The album's name is In Our Nature.

Abram either wake up or go to bed.
You're sleepwalking with a delirious head.
You were programmed a long, long, long time ago
Your stories are old, old and your acclimation is slow.

Not much of what you say makes any sense.
Cook up some myths, then ask for obedience.
Even though you men well, well most of the time,
you've aided delusion and created bias in our minds.

Go to sleep.

  • this song inspired me to an assignment of writing a short story in my english class. Thanks for giving me inspiration and making one think creatively! :D

  • I couldn't get enough of this song when I first heard it. Tonight, I was looking for something when I stumbled onto this. Thank you for posting all of these songs - a great artist, still so young!

  • Did anyone else notice how this sounds a bit similar to "Road" by Nick Drake?

  • @adolaw The lyrics were in the description mate..but thanks anyways.

    Incredible song.

  • interesting, i had always listened to this song without thinking of what it's saying. but, at least my interpretation of it, is saying that perhaps Judaic-Christian religions are now outdated and a bit detrimental to modern society.

  • thats what i always thought!!!
