  • Today's "Christian" musicians can't hold a candle to this. I remember going to their concerts and leaving 10 feet off of the floor. Their message was pure. Not self glorification but simply to love the Father and Seek his heart. Thank you for posting this.

  • when I first came to faith,. I could not believe there was a group like this. These 3 (and Buck Herring) were definitely pioneers in Contemporary Christian Music. Loved (most of) their stuff. Add Larry Norman (RIP), Keith Greeen and Phil Keaggy to this mix. "Why should the devil have all the good music?"

  • It was a magic time, how sad the music is today. However God may visit us again in a powerful way as it was back then, we can only hope!

  • I remember hearing and then buying this album as a teenager. It sent shivers up my spine then, and now, over 30years later, listening to this song, it still speaks (SHOUTS) 'truth', and makes me feel the way I did way back then. I'm not a practicing Christian anymore, in fact, I have no time for organized religion - but when I hear this, or Keith Green, I feel transported back to a more simpler, more innocent time of the Chrisitian movement of the late 20th Century.

  • The band was "A Band Called David". The drove around touring in the blue turtle, I think it was called. Their harmonies were heavenly and more than once I broke down and wept to this song and to "Mansion Builder." Thanks for posting this.

  • I remember this as the earliest praise and worship music I ever listened too; it was a special time of new beginnings. It still resonates with me.

  • What's the younger sisters name? They didn't let her take a lead.

  • @ternupgrn44 Brother, where did you find this? Is there more from this performance out there? Did you notice a young Phil Keaggy on guitar?

  • You are absolutely correct. The so called Christian music today has lost it's spirit and soul, selling out for commercial success. It is foo foo music like the junk food that fattens society for spiritual slaughter never satisfying, always leaving you wanting something more, something deeper, something that will satisfy. ☺
