Ukulele - Day One

My mother-in-law gave me a uke for my birthday, and it turns out that ukes are freakin' awesome. I've been playing around with it all morning, and this is my rough first go at knocking out an original tune.

This is also my first go at (a) grabbing video with my macbook's built-in camera and (b) uploading anything to Youtube. Busy day!

Are you wearing pants?

Part of my cinematic intent with this piece was to explore the ambiguity of that question: am I, indeed, wearing pants? Am I not? If diegesis does not answer the question, is it answerable?

And what does it mean, to be wearing pants? What would it mean for the ukulele? Do we imagine something in the eyes of the musician that says, "yes, I am aware of the implications of my pantsedness/pantslessness?"
