Richard Brown, PhD, is the director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy R esearch; he is also a professor in the Department of Health Services and the Department of Community Health Sciences in the UCLA School of Public Health. Brown founded the Center in 1994. It has since become one of the nation's leading health policy research centers and the premier source of health policy information and analysis on California's population. The Center conducts research on a wide range of health issues and provides extensive public service to policy makers, advocates and the media.
