  • what the hell?

Why are the igbo ppl refugees? who's trying to kill them? Im igbo, from nigeria, this looks like a quick way to get to america lol. Idk their situation but the only thing i can think of that would cause igbo refugees is the Biafra war in the mid 60s, but the dude said he came in 1996 so im confused? they're probably igbos from river state though. idk.

  • They're not Igbo, they are Ogoni (although Israel's wife is Igbo). Watch part 5 of this series. It will break down what happened to the Ogoni people in the nineties.

  • (con't) and it was very upsetting to see how other human beings were treated and still are treated over things like religion, greed, freedom and so on! I wish that more people were made aware of these happenings. It really makes us (in the USA) look ignorant, uneducated, and selfish when in fact that isn't the truth I feel politicians and the rich go to great lengths to sort of "cover up" what's really happening in the world. There's absolutely no reason for human-beings in 2010 to be dying f

  • I watched a similar video at a refugee awareness function at my school (Buffalo State College) and in my area in the US there are many refugees from all over, the film was called 'God Grew Tired of Us' and followed "the lost boys" on their journey which started in their homeland of S. Sudan to a UN refugee camp in Kenya (they remained for 10+ "stuck" in a sense) to finally ending up in America. It was so eye opening for me, I am an educated person but I never realized just how good we have it
