A couple of days ago, I was browsing through the interwobbles (as one does) and I came across an awesome piece called Gumdrop Forest. It happened to have been made using a VST that I own, so I was pretty excited about that. Yesterday I reinstalled Edirol Orchestral VST on my new laptop and got straight to making a new orchestral piece. This is the result of it! I'm really, really happy with it.

Along with Edirol, I also used the freeware DSK Ethereal PadZ VST - this is the glittery weird kind of bass pad you can hear at various times throughout this song. Protip: it's also what I used at the start and the end of Hey Alice.

Oh, and I got into my composition course! Yay! The enrolment day is this coming Friday, so it'll be official then. A lot of the course focuses on scoring for films and games, so I guess this is good practice. I'd love to hear my work on the silver screen (or computer screen :P) some day.
