COMET PHYSICS FOR DUMMIES

Electromagnetic forces are much weaker than gravity at large distance. If you jump of a building, you fall down by gravity, when you smash into the ground, that's called electromagnetism. It is only significant on large distance for very small particles.

Here is an experiment you can do. Take a compass, then watch the needle when Elenin passes by. May the 4's be with you!

seriously though, most sources said 11th to 15th and didnt say there was a pole shift but a huge quake in japan, something tells me ur overlooking something.

Thank God somebody on youtube has some real brain function. Give these ppl a space program and a calendar and it'd be doomsday ever single day of every year. Don't worry after today, the date will be changed again to october. Then when elenin is gone, it will be YU55. Then when that's gone....who knows. There will always be something else.

During the 3/11 Japan earthquake Jupiter was indeed roughly in line with the Earth and the Sun, but it was on the other side of the Sun seen from the Earth, making its gravitational influence even less than it would be if it was on 'our' side; more importantly: at that time the Moon was nowhere near that allignment, so any influence from Jupiter would be completely nullified by the position of our Moon.

I don't believe that Jupiter has that big an influence at all, if any: it's aprox. 4 times farther away from the Earth than the Sun and its mass is about 0,1% of that of the Sun; our Moon has the biggest gravitational influence on our planet and even when that alligns with the Sun and the Earth we see no other effects than spring tide... otherwise we would have a major earthquake every 2 weeks, that would seem a bit much ;)
