Great video Icpm1956! When you get time google Col. S.W. Kearny Expedition 1845 and you will find out that you have stumbled upon one of their camps. I study and recover artifacts from this time period in the Midwest. Many of the things you have found relate to the "Dragoon Soldier". Take care my friend!

You are such a d&%k! I see that you've never posted any videos of yourself, but are quick to be critiacal of others. I have been there. I hunted the area. It has no agricultural value, other than grazing. It has NEVER been plowed and everything has been found in the same strata. Every item supported the next one. I say it was between 1830 and 1860. There is evidence of Dragoon presence, Buck-N-Ball loads (common smooth bore techniques) as well as permanent strutures. Could be malitia?

Wrong you are,I am well aware of the activity on that site, its called research. There is also knowing how to date what you are finding, not basing that on the date of a coin you found. If I drop a 1850 coin in my yard does that make my yard a 1850 site??

I am not sure anyone can say for sure the military was or was not here or there. History is deposited in layers one after another but when you have a site with presumably a lot of soil turn over it all goes out the window. You want to express a disagreement fine but don't be a prick about it.

Also research your animals,HEDGEHOG!!??Wasabi RAZORBACK WARTHOG??C'mon go to the zoo!!
opps, forgot to ask what are you using for pinpointing. I am thinking about getting that Detector pro pistol probe. what do ya think.

Great Video The editing is excalant. However you need to study up on your relics some. The D in the button is for Dragoons. It dates from the 1830's great fine. The words on the back are called backmarks and help identify were they are made. Also the bullet mold was to cast round balls not mini balls. All in all great fines just need to study up on relics alittle.
