Astrid/Doctor/Rose - History Repeats Itself

Whilst watching VotD, I noticed how ALOT of the Dr/Astrid moments were like Dr/Rose moments, so I made this video...

Appologises for the sound. It was quite tricky to do because some of the clips were very loud and others weren't but I tried my best =]

The Doctor meets Astrid, and from the moment she calls him 'Sir', he gets a flashback of the very first time Rose called him 'Sir'. Throughout their time together, Astrid reminds him of Rose, but he puts it to the back of his mind. He can't understand why he keeps getting flashbacks. Finally, when Astrid looks over at the Doctor, he gets a flashback of a similar look Rose gave to him when they were battling the Daleks and Cybermen. He realises she may have the same fate as Rose. The Doctor can't warn Astrid, and she falls into the engines after defeating Max Capricorn. The Doctor realises that she was wearing a transporter bracelet, and believes she may be saved, like how Pete Tyler came through for Rose and saved her. However, this is not the case, and all he can do is produce a few atoms. The Doctor kisses 'Astrid', like how he wished he'd been able to kiss Rose before they departed forever, and he lets her go to travel forever...

I was thinking the reason the Doctor was so attracted to Astrid so quicky was because she reminded him of Rose. She's blond, cute, witty, and dreams of a better life. I think why the Doctor was so affected by Astrid's death because once again he meets an amazing girl who sacrifices everything to save him while he's helpless to save them.

However, I think he is in love with Rose still. Astrid was more like a passing fancy. (I still think Astrid is cool though.)
