  • Que viva Wagner!

Este concierto lo estuve escuchando por la radio en directo, ese mismo día, y fué algo increíble.

Larga vida a esta orquesta y al maestro Barenboim

  • PLEASE, please, please: tell this man to listen to his greatest enemy, how he performed this piece of Music in Berlin or Vienna, with "his" Philharmoniker. Tell Barenboim to listen to Karajan.

  • @edcassels i completely agree. It's like they backed off literally as the climax was happening. I think that was because they played some of the development of the piece too big, and I felt the same with the prelude. Too many changes in dynamics, instead of a big build up. I feel like this was a little fast, though better than the prelude, it just needs more cantabile for me. Any great soprano would take their sweet time with this piece.

  • It's nice to see Maestro Barenboim not over- conduct this work and let these young musicians play the notes off the pages for themselves. However, from the subito piano at 4:38 up until 5:00 and thereafter, the music doesn't reach the intended climax that it should. It's much to kind and gentle and doesn't evoke the emotion that it most surely could.

  • Thank you for the opportunity to see this.

Can't believe i missed this on tv.

    Wish i'd recorded it!

  • Wonderful, pitty that first trombone is so ugly...
