A storied tradition south of the border and in many countries around the world, bloodless bullfighting, courtesy of Don Bull Productions, will return to the United States and Las Vegas at the South Point Hotel & Casino October 23 24, 2009 at 8pm.
Representing the alternative bullfighting style at the South Point Arena, Don Bull Productions will present bloodless bullfights, offering spectators the opportunity to witness the best bullfighters or toreros around the globe performing their mastery in the entertainment capital of the world. Using specially designed adhesive Velcro pads instead of traditional banderillas, rejones and steel harpoons, competitors are able to preserve the existence of the toros while keeping the excitement and skill of traditional bullfighting alive.
@MICHELOFGOD Also, to add - Texas has some good "fights". Personally I find that if bullfighting was banned all together, those who ban it are making a whole ancient breed of cattle extinct. These cattle are extremely intelligent and athletic, what come of them? Anyway, back to my point - Texas allows bullfights but does not allow velcro banderillas, pseudo-weapons of any kind, or horn trimming. Also, Texan bulls are re-used, not slaughtered. Some are sold, yes. I myself was offered one once.

@MICHELOFGOD I've researched the cruelty of bullfights for years, I'm very well aware of what all goes on. What I'm saying is that in the United States, the cruelty is hardly comparable to that of other countries and our Rodeos. If people were so against bullfighting and for animals - Why not they prove it? Rescue some . . . The bullfights sell them to whoever takes the bid! I for one would LOVE to go down to California to get a few for myself, as fighting cattle are my favorite of all animals.

@Illiasc #4. Bullfights; ALL bullfights are INHUMANE and BARBARIC and they ALL "degrade and humiliate" the beautiful; majestic animals involved. This is AMERICA, and we are BETTER than this.

@Illiasc #3. And please, next time, do some research, I am also fighting for a BAN on the sick; perverted "entertainment" of CRUEL rodeos (rodeos which originated in Mexico, and of which the "made-up" form of Portuguese "bloodless bullfights" practiced in the U.S. are "categorized as") and CRUEL factory farms.

@Illiasc #2. The bulls ARE "mutilated" (their horns are (up to 4'') painfully and traumatically "sawed-off" to "interfere" with the bull's "ability to navigate." The bulls are mentally/psychologically "disabled" (locked-up in darkness (for a week); terrified; confused; teased, harassed; tormented (before the arena and in the arena) only to be killed (butchered alive) once outside the arena, in a Mexican bullfight; a slaughterhouse or elsewhere.

@Illiasc #1. The same old satanically "evil" excuses; lies and deceptions of the BULLFIGHTING LOBBY to "rationalize the evil" of the "institutionalized abuse; cruelty; mutilation and disablement" of normally "quiet; peaceful"; innocent animals in the ritualized (U.S.) "PSEUDO sadistic public slaughter" of innocent animals for sick; perverted "entertainment."

@MICHELOFGOD - There was a little audience because the ticket price was so high, not because of popularity. The bulls are NOT killed after the event, they are either kept for breeding, future events, or sold to other breeders or rodeos. Which brings to another point - America allows and accepts Rodeos, why aren't you bugging them? Bullfights at least give the bull a respectable life, a name, and if killed - it is better than being prodded, roped, wrestled and made fun of throughout their life.

We must call for a "Ban" on all future bullfighting events planned in America and let the bullfighting industry know that America is not interested in bullfighting.
The bullfights that have already been organized in Las Vegas were a big failure: only a few people attended the events and the bullfighting industry lost money.
This is reason enough to "Ban" all bullfights in the USA: people want this "abuse" to "stop."

The money they generate from the bullfights in America is used to promote their blood sport. Furthermore, people who visit the bullfights may think that bullfighting is not that cruel, while it is one of the most "cruel forms of animal abuse."
We must not allow the bullfighting industry to continue promoting their bloody business in America. America has many great events to offer to visitors, without "animal abuse."

The bullfighting industry is losing ground in the bullfighting countries and that is why they are trying to export their bloody business to other countries. Since it is prohibited to torture and kill bulls in the United States, they have invented "bloodless" bullfights, to promote their "sadistic" industry in an "innocent" manner.
However, the same industry does not have a problem with killing defenseless animals.
