I have put enough rounds through this gun to have a pretty good idea of it's performance capabilities. I think it is an excellent little gun and one of the most compact on the market. Keep in mind that a little baby like this does have some limitations. Opening music by Kevin Macleod (incompetec.com).

  • You can use the lip of an empty ruger LCP magazine to pop the pin out for dissasembly, no need for a screwdriver or any tools.

  • @JonRH87 Good tip. Thanks my friend!

  • I've NEVER been into carrying 2 guns,I work for a large eastern district police dept and mines rides in a Nemesis front left pocket as my 2nd gun BOTH on AND OFF duty,,its a dream to be able to forget you even have a 2nd Gun on your person. .now all I've gotta do is order my 2nd mag and a fobus ankle holster and ill be more than happy.

  • @maximus71771 It's nice to hear that this gun is being used by law enforcement. As a backup gun I think it's a wonderful choice. After all of the other gear you guys lug around, It's nice to just throw this little thing in your pocket. .380 isn't the greatest man stopper but I believe (in a pinch) at close ranges coupled with all of your other training and resources that it can serve you well. Thanks for watching and for your outstanding comment!

  • I really wanna thank you for uploading this video,,Very articulate and well composed video covering everything I wanted to know about this gun,Best video by far,,just purchased mine TODAY with the Chrome slide,,,I love this .380,,it goes with me as my back up everywhere.Again great job on this Video,Hope to see more from you.

  • @maximus71771 Thank you very much for your kind words and feed back. It is very encouraging and makes me want to keep going on with the video making. I really like the chrome slide LCP. I had a friend who almost got one. I'm with you on loving this little gun. It is so easy to carry and I haven't regreted the purchase one bit. Again thanks for taking time to make such a positive comment.

  • thanks for very educational vid. i'm a newbie. this will help in my next purchase.

  • Great video. Thanks. This Ruger will be my next purchase.

  • I've seen a lot of videos on this gun. Yours was the one I enjoyed most.

  • What did you use to make your sights more visible, since they are pretty small and can not be changed? I saw that you had a orange or red color on them and was just curious.

  • I just bought one, can you explain the part about using a #2 pencil with sandpaper for the hollow points. Did you say you wrapped sandpaper around the eraser of a # 2 pencil? Also, great job of explaining single and double action. Some people make that so complicated that its confusing to most, but can't it simple and easy to understand.

  • I have carried a LCP for two years. I highly recommend it. Very easy to carry and 380 auto isn't bad for a "get off of me" round.

  • I bought mine about 6months ago. Im noticing that my pistol has a angled slot above the takedown pin instead of the rectangular slot like yours. Not a big deal but I havent seen another one like it yet. Do you know anything about this?

  • @SiccMadeist probably a hollow point against people. In terms of caliber, you should go with a .500 S&W magnum rounds.
