  • Actually, it really is that much...blue plates are 20k...so thats 70kg on each side so its actually 353lbs if you want to be technical

  • You could always get a safety squat bar and use one of those, but they are damn expensive - I'd rather slip!

  • Its so obvious there are three blue 44 x 6 and two black 22 x 2 equalling 353lbs why is this even a discussion? Other thing i can say is this is the second quickest way to rupture a disc, first being a jump squat with that much weight! Spine cant take that much compression on the way down.

  • That is a real Bulgarian step up!!

  • fukin hell that small guy has some serious strength, and those step ups are just so uncomfortable, gotta have a good core to stay balanced on one leg with all that weight

  • @itzoxy - actually to clear this up once and for all, there are 3 BLUE plates and 1 BLACK plate on each side - so to do the math, blue plates are 20kg, go to any olympic gym and any blue plate is 20kg, and the last plate is a 10kg, thus it is black and thinner - so add it with me, 6 blues is 120kg, 2 blacks is 20kg, and the bar is 20kg = 160kg or in american ignorant pounds- 352.8lbs

  • @Ducadunk14 except for the fact it says 10kg on the side... gtfo

  • impressive

  • great way to rupture a disc

  • @Ducadunk14 if they are 10kg, why do they say 10? just a slight technicality.

  • the box is 2 low

  • Bulgarians and Eastern Europe use this method to train their athletes in olympics.Read their articled
