MONTREAL SOLIDARITY WITH GAZA, 10 JANUARY 2009

January 10, 2009, saw a massive crowd of people of all backgrounds, age, and walks of life coming out in their thousands on a frozen Saturday afternoon, to protest the Israeli invasion and massacres in Gaza. Numerous organizations came together to organize this event which lasted three hours and spanned a large core of downtown Montreal. Similar protests were held right across Canada, and around the world on the same day.

Fighting back against 6000 rockets fired on Israel cililians is not terrorism, it is legitmate response. The 6000 rockets are terrorism. Islam doesn't seem to get it. As for 6,000 rockets -- please get a sense of proportion: in 2006, 926 rockets were fired at Israel from Gaza (and not necessarily all by Hamas, as alleged), while Israel responded with over 14,000 artillery shells. While the charge of anti-semitism is utter bullshit, your Islamophobia is what is obvious. It's Hamas' response that is legitimate.
