@luisboricua9 Better voice and better control??? You need to know what REAL SINGING is about and that is squarely with Shanice and HOW can you speak about control when they are not whistling the same tune? Pathetic at best. (cough) whistling doesn't damage the voice as in MC's case.

Her whistles LACK strength, power and clarity because she ABUSES the false cord in order to whistles, which is why she developed NODULES and now cannot sing live without PLAYBACKS. So if this is the grandness of whistling you CARE to praise, go ahead, BUT leave Shanice be, because she does it CORRECTLY! Read the title of the video. IF you were confident in MC's ability, you would NOT see a need to attack Shanice!

@LILRuthlessplaya88 #1. MC uses her [so-called] whistles to DISTRACT from her poor singing! Take some pride in yourself, before you write CRAP about Shanice sounding 'out of place and un harmonious'. You OBVIOUSLY do not know anything! Unlike MC who strains herself to whistle, Shanice got formal training. Before Minnie, Shanice and your MC - Classical singers use 'whistle notes', and they were also STRONG AND POWERFUL, just like Minnie and Shanice, because a singer's voice is to be HEARD!

ALSO.. i notice alot of u saying mariah loses power with her whistles..ACTUALLY mariah can control the volume with her whistles. which is why some sound strong then other's... volume always don't mean greater. Mariah uses her whistle once again to coincide with her singing.
