Solution for IOS 5 can't activate or no service(Untethered jailbreak out)

You can't activate it or there is no service available (simcard is not recognizable)

Methode:
1. Shutdown your iphone
2. Remove the sim-card
3. start the lastest redsn0w (see download link below)
4. Press on the button jailbreak
5. Follow the steps of Redsn0w to go into DFU MODE
6. Select the options
- Install cydia
- Install ipad baseband
- de-activate
and proceed
7. Waited for it to finish
8.after it booted up you got the message "No sim-card inserted" and insert your sim-card
9. Configure your iphone

Now you have signal and activated your iphone

PROBLEMS?
Redsn0w asks to select firmware?
Go into the startup screen of Redsnow press on the button Extras - Select IPSW and select your firmware(ipsw)

Device will not regonsize my simcard?
1. Shutdown your iphone

4. Press on the button jailbreak
5. Follow the steps of Redsn0w to go into DFU MODE
6. Select the options
- Install cydia
and proceed
7. Waited for it to finish and when booted up
8. Configure your iphone
9. Open cydia
10. Now simply go to Cydia - Manage -- Sources
11. Hit the "Edit" button and add the following repository there and tap on "Add Source".

12. Now go back on Cydia, search for Ultrasn0w and install it.(but when you installed and your device asks to reboot press your simcard inside the phone and press on the reboot button)

Here are the basic steps for how to get Untethered Jaibreak:
• The untether is for iOS 5.0.1 on iPhone3GS, iPhone4, iPhone4-CDMA, iPad1, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G
• If you have one of those devices and are not on 5.0.1 yet, update now! The SHSH window is still open for 5.0.1 If you unlock via ultrasn0w or gevey, make sure you only get to 5.0.1 via a custom IPSW! See the guides at places like iClarified.com if you don't know how. Once you're at 5.0.1, use the latest redsn0w 0.9.10 to both jailbreak and untether.
• If you're already at 5.0.1 with a tethered jailbreak, you have two choices: either run redsn0w 0.9.10 over your current jailbreak (deselect "Install Cydia" if you do that), or install the Cydia package prepared by the chronic devteam. The patches are the same regardless of which you choose.
• Some of you are using a hybrid 5.0/5.0.1 configuration. If so, do not attempt to install this untether over that setup! You will most likely get into a reboot cycle. Do a sync and fresh restore to 5.0.1 then install the jailbreak + untether.


For the people who does have tethered

Mail / Safari and Cydia is crashing(FIX)
1. Open redsn0w_win_0.9.9b4
2. Press Extras
3. Press Just Boot
4. Follow the steps of Redsn0w to go into DFU MODE
5. After it booted up everything will work

My iphone is stuck by the apple logo.
Just boot tethered
Redsn0w - Extras - Just boot

This video is outta date don't use iOS 5.0.1 contains new protocols that the jailbreak doesn't understand. The results are 5.0.1 jailbreak will cause firmware corruption if you use it once this happens you can no longer use the iPhone you have basically turned your iPhone into a I brick and I have talked to the apple store who tested my device and he said the same thing I'm telling you

@Dunderheadphoto11 People of apple store don''t know anything. Someone bought a new iphone when they connected to the computer it was going stuck. They did go 5 times to apple store and didn''t see the solution i was looking at the iphone for like 5 min and the problems was not comming back.

The ios 5.0.1 is bugged and people who have already jailbroken they can''t go back to the store because warranty is over. What you can do waiting 3 years for the real solution with iphone baseband or that the people can use and have some little bugs like 3g connection lose like 3 times in a day? I think our iphone developers programs once a iphone baseband and everything will be solved :)

@therupak1 i have the same problem as yours but here is a solution that worked for me i wish it will work for you its really easy you just have to go settings , general , network and turn off ENABLE 3G good luck i wish it will work for you i tried many things i jailbreaked and did many things for this iphone but none worked only this simple solution GOOD LUCK !!!
