  • I am not offended that Kostabi has become a designer rather than a painter, just as a musical composer does not neccessarily perform the work of producing the sounds. So he has personally escaped "painting", which has been the goal of painters since, say Duchamp. But he has not liberated painters or the painting at all --- just himslef. Still, he amuses.

  • this guy is one of the greatest artists of all time

  • i bought an apartment (a very big one)... hahaha. totally committed to hierarchy of consumption as value symbol. what devoted arrogance! :)

  • Wow Mark, interesting to learn that those iconic cone shaped pointy hats you draw are antenae for wisdom? Nice metaphor and opposite twist to the dunce cap. I like that a lot. And it also reminds me a lot of Dali and his pointy waxed mustache that he projected as his antanae to outerspace martians. Must be a surrealist thing? Great video and loved learning the personal references behind your imagery.

  • Love the explanation of your iconography. Lovely video of all you do...
