Two natures were necessary in order for Jesus to bridge the 'sin gap' between man and God. Because Christ took on that second nature, he was able to bear the sins that we hold and allow people to accept God without need to work in order to be saved.
Salvation purely by works does not guarantee eternal life, so God chose to send Himself incarnate so that there would be a method in which our salvation is absolutely certain if we choose to receive it. That is love to the fullest extent.
@reasons4god So true. I've invariably found that the great majority of those who enjoy poking imaginary holes in the Bible have done precious little in depth research of it.
If they did that in any other field they would be laughed out the door...so...MrToby9999l, consider yourself "laughed out the door"--Graduate Student , Duke University.
Apparantly the gentleman below knows little about the bible, it's history and archeology. Once you study it long enough you begin to realize that it is actually true.
Morland has made a number of unproven unsubstantiated claims in this video. The claim that people have died for there beliefs goes no way toward proving those beliefs to be true. The bible cannon itself is the product of many people's personal beliefs and opinions - a collection of writings produced by fallible human beings. It is contradictory in its teachings and must be considered unreliable based on known historical and archaeological evidence.
Actually, a contridiction is exactly what it is. Any grade-school child could tell you that. Of course, when you loosely & incorrectly define things however it best suites your case, then it's quite amazing what apparent contridictions can be magically made to disappear.
And what is the name for that? Intellectual dishonestly, pure and simple.
And what is my response to said explanation? "Yea, go ahead and believe that too".
