@ladylejean215 ORIGINALLY, the uknown soldier was a WW1 infantry soldier, some people fail to acknowledge it and get butt hurt on corrections lol
-
@jihad76239 ALL OF YOU do know that there is more than one unknown soldier buried here, right? This is actually the Tomb of the Unknowns
-
lightning didn't strike close to the tomb.
-
@jfashner that is what i all ways say love it

@bloodshot738 Mostly, It's a symbol for any soldier who was ever, in a sense, "lost." The soldiers that were never found and never known of after their death on the battlefield. Almost like the POW MIA flag, "YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN." Even though they don't know who it is, the person won't be forgotten as a soldier.

@bloodshot738 Unkown, it's not just a grave. It's a symbol for every single man and woman who have died serving their country.
Asking 'Why are people even bothering to guard the Tomb of the Unkown?' is like asking 'Why would someone get angry if i took a shit on their parents grave?'

@jfashner why not stand beside them and fight along side? War has been going on for as long as life has been on earth. It is not whether we stand in front of soldiers to give our lives because you claim we have nothing better to do then to complain about war and its potentially immoral terms. and it is much less about cowering behind humans who so bravely put their lives on the line. it is standing together shoulder to shoulder...

@bloodshot738 you do know that the unknown soldier was in WW1 not WW2 right? no nazis in WW1 :p

@bloodshot738 It is kids like you who put my generation to shame.
If you can't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
