@22CSX23 First of all these animes were from 1984, not 89. Secondily, Miaaccount seemed to have only made videos of Super Robot shows 'they' remember, leaving out many other robot shows from the 80's.

why dont they put patlabor in this collection. It was a full TV series about super robots. The show was obviously popular. It was aired in 1989.

I remember "Holynight Bismarck History" as "Saber Rider" in America! Wow that one brought back a whole lot of old memories!

Ah you may be thinking of Trider G7 perhaps?

The storys, acting, music etc. was done in America for many cartoons, however Japanese studios were called in to produce a variety of the work, while some stuff like Thundercats resemble an anime, other shows animated in Japan don't resemble it as such, like TMS's work for the Disney Afternoon shows. Technically if a show is animated AND produced in Japan, then it is a true anime and not a joint production!

I'm unsure of that second one, but the first show you described is Getter Robo that was made in the 70's and had several sequels and OVA's made since then.
