Crystal Pite: Jacob's Pillow Dance Award Recipient

Crystal Pite, Artistic Director of contemporary dance company Kidd Pivot Frankfurt RM, has been honored with the 2011 Jacob's Pillow Dance Award. The Award celebrates outstanding visionary artists and carries a prize of $25,000, one of the largest cash awards in the dance industry, to be used by the choreographer to enhance their artistry in any way they choose.

The official in-person presentation of the Award took place at the Jacob's Pillow Season Opening Gala on Saturday, June 18, 2011.

I've been able to see her "NEW WORK", and it supriseded and fascinated me, that I was able to understand the hole story trough the gesture of the dancers... If been wondering, if ballett really is part of the dramatical arts, but know I know: For sure it is!
