This is a short video of my delta robot deltaR picking steel balls with a solenoid. It is controlled by the Kinect sensor.

  • The accuracy is really technically limited so the relative orientation of the sensor to the robot won't have any real influence - and actually I'm standing parallel to the Kinect. But you're right in the sense that it's harder to control the robot when you have to do some kind of "mental rotation" which is the case here because the robot is not alligned to the Kinect sensor. But that's not what I would call a problem of accuracy. Thanks for your interest!

  • Do you think that you could have increased the accuracy of your control by changing the position and orientation of your Kinect sensor? It seems like it would have been a more capable demonstration if the kinect was oriented at a 90(degree) angle while aligned with the pillars of the apparatus.
