How to Add Space to and External Hard Drive

This video shows you how to add space to an external had drive by replacing the actual drive that is inside the unit. The end result is that the old external hard drive will have more space and at a much lower cost than buying a new external hard drive.

@produKtNZ I did this, the drive started to beep so i got it back in the original casing with all data deleted :) Though the disk was not broken :) And i backed up the most important files :P But i didnät work to use it as an internal drive :S

i have a exteral 1tb drive, can i tear it apart and put it in the computer as an internal? I am using a stationary computer...

BTW most computers these days still come with an IDE connector on the motherboard and IF you are lucky - a free IDE connector 'wire' to run to it. But trying to connect a SATA HDD to a non-SATA system is impossible without replacing the motherboard.
