that was excellent, im trying to explain to people that the dead dont come back but its hard, they are caught up in the catholic ways and it makes me angry how the catholic encourages people to pray for the dead and to the dead (saints) my family dont believe me anymore about what i say, and it really hurts, i used to be a catholic but now a SDA i agree with them and all our work is done thru the bible only. and we Keep Gods Sabbath.

Yes, the Bible was written by men - but which men: "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1:2. It was HOLY MEN WHO WROTE THESE WORDS, MEN WHO HAD THE HOLY GHOST IN THEM. See also Acts 5:32. It was the Spirit of God who inspired these men to write the words of the Bible. Do not let the devil deceive you. The principles taught in the Bible are not of human origin, they come directly from the throne of God.

The bible IS NOT CLEAR on this subject, nor about many subjects, That is why there are so many denominations and theological arguments. With the same book you can 'prove' opposing points of view. No wonder Bart Ehrman came to the conclusion that the bible was the word of man, not the word of God.

My friend, the body dies, the soul sleeps, the spirit returns to God. The spirit is Gods breath breath into the nostril of man when he created man. The soul sleeps and awaits for the second coming.
