Trailer for a short documentary on the 2nd Avenue Subway Line, know as being "the most famous thing in New York that has never been built". Finally, after 70 years of planning, construction is under way. But how are Upper east Side residents and businesses dealing with the most massive construction project in the history of the city.
Subways are great modes of transport. New York has around 21 lines. I live in Rio de Janeiro which is a massive city and we have 2 lines. Traffic is a nightmare. Now that we won the Olympic games we should be tearing up dozens of streets and avenues to get this city moving. But we are never going to do it. Unfortunately, urban planners here are dimwits. We will forever ride buses and take 2 to 3 hours to cross town.

With East Side Access going on, hopefully this subway will become a reality for New Yorkers.
