  • so much for the national debt

  • "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -John Stuart Mill

  • how did this speech have anything to do with GAYS? You people just have to get it in anywhere you can, 'eh? There are more pressing issues in our country than allowing you and your boyfriend to have "rights". Get serious!

  • as a gay man you really have something to worry about if radical islam keeps gaining. you say homophobia here is bad?? any muslim who believes in Sharia law, and a lot of muslims do, would have the obligation to kill you. stoning or beheading? which do you prefer?

  • reading some of the recent posts on here crack me up. this was almost 2 yrs ago when the democrats threatened to cut funding to the troops! this was the beginning of the "surge" which finally cracked al quedas back in iraq! why are you responding as if this was a recent speech! one other thing...please stop parroting ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, et al. it really does show you don't think much on your own!

  • If I don't eat carrot cake, I certainly don't listen to it.

  • I have thought about it further and have decided that maybe I am not right on this issue.

It's just as a gay man it hard to watch this government chase halfway across the world on fictional WMDs when they do nothing for our people at home.

When will someone stand up for gay rights and help people like me and my boyfriend and the homophobia we face on an almost daily basis?

  • Buzkill27- I am proud of your ability to examine different points of interest in regard to politics. I believe that many citizens of this country make hasty generalizations in choosing political candidates.(Associating views with Parties) If you examine this further you will find Liberals who may support the 2nd Ammendment, as well as Conservatives who stand up for the gay/lesbian community. While I do not personally agree with some of your views, I do believe in your rights as an American.
