BEN DID IT. I'm guessing, as he killed Berry to frame Max, so he could marry Berry's daughter, as he knew that she would fall for Max before him, unless Max was removed from the equation. He's pretending to be quiet right now, so he doesn't have to reveal anything, but as Max told, he's actually a bold person.
