My grandma went to heaven summer of 2008. she continues to be in our thoughts and prayers. she loved visiting with people and was always a chatter box. love you grandma!

For me, this is the essence of hospice. Evelyn is at home with caring people around, with "no aches and pains" and very aware of what is happening. Of course she doesn't WANT to die, but she has come to terms with it in a comfortable, supportive, calm way. No hospital craziness and noise with all kinds of people running around, no tubes and machines hooked up to her, no useless tests and procedures being run, and no stress. It is a very dignified way for Evelyn to live out her remaining days
