  • I fail to see the logic of the anti hunting people. In most cases ur doing the animal a huge favor by ending it's life with a bullet to the heart as opposed to getting ripped abart by another animal

  • Oh but taking the kid to mcdonalds and paying for someone else to kill a cow is ok?

  • What if the kid wanted to go fishing?

  • I love how independent Bill's thinking always is. The only reason he gets called a liberal now, is because we've had 8 years of Far right. But......I do disagree with Bill's anti-hunting ideas. I think going out and killing something in it's natural habitat is far more humane towards animals than buying a cheap steak in a store that comes from an animal that was in a slavish slaughterhouse its whole life.

  • This humans/animals who is better argument is kinda of nonsensical. In essence, we're animals too. Being mammals, that puts us in the same group as apes and orcas. There's a food chain I guess you can base "superiority" on but I don't think one is better than the other.

  • @n0s1r How do you know they can't contemplate their own notion of existence? That's a tough question to answer but it doesn't mean you're exclusively right. We have connections on so many levels to other animals that all our existences depend on each other. It's a big chain of life that can't be simply oversimplified.

  • @acphenom Well, I'm glad I convinced you to abandon your terrible logic. I won't be doing the same with mine because there is frankly nothing wrong with it.

I honestly don't feel the need to justify my eating of meat... Never have. I am speaking on the notion of "animal rights" in general.

The ACTUAL reason I consider humans to be superior (not separate, just superior) is we do more than merely exist, we can also contemplate the notion of existence.

  • @n0s1r My equation was no more logical or admirable than yours - that was my point. The only reason why you consider humans to be separate and superior to other animals is because it enables you to have peace of mind when you eat meat, whilst preserving your own civil rights. Hm...how convenient.

  • @acphenom So.. By your logic, animals are equal to people but some people are greater than other people, therefore some animals would have to be greater than other animals or your logic breaks down.

So in your strange equation I'm guessing there is no objectivity or facts and which animals and people are greater than others is arbitrarily decided by you or how you feel at that particular moment. Interesting.

  • @n0s1r Humans = Animals > People like you. End of story.
