Most Doctor Horrible covers fail, because they're too bland. The singers don't put enough into it. They hit the right notes . . . sometimes . . . but that's all. But this . . . this makes me want to hide under a blankie with my fearsome teddy bear faithfully standing guard. Those maniacal looks you conjure up are satisfyingly maniacal, or maniacally satisfying.
