  • too bad Tan Boon Heong beat that XD

  • @Aznthuglife And by saying that the sound was heard before the racquet was seen, you are implying that the speed of light was at least momentarily slower than the speed of sound. This is certainly not the case. Speed of light is constant at 3 x 10^8 m/s, while sound is around 300 m/s.

The Arc Saber Z is indeed impressive, but not quite yet enough to manipulate the constancy of the speed of light. =)

  • That smash was literally at the front court, Lin dan could probably hit 500mph if he was that close .........

  • Keep pressing 5 for "everyday Im shuffling..."

  • pressing again n again '2' . i heard the sound first then the racquet movement

  • @SaintSonics Speed of sound is at 1300mphs or even above to break the sound-barrier. Beause you hear sound doesn't mean it implies it breaks the barrier

  • smash the air

  • The video was just out of sync... omg

  • crazy guy haha O_O

  • @SaintSonics I knew the two speeds (or near approximations of), I was being geeky; and ran away with myself on a slight sidetrack unintentionally.

  • @jgbreezer No, what I was referring to is the speed of sound in air. If you think the speed of light in a vacuum is 300 m/s then you are wrong by about a 10^6 fold difference, because the speed of light is 300 million m/s.

  • @SaintSonics actually, what you're referring to is the speed of light in a vacuum as constant and the fastest speed anything can move relative to its surroundings. Speed of light/gamma/x/uv/ir/... rays through other materials varies a bit (slower).

Speed of light in air is slower by a tiny bit, speed of light through glass is a litle slower still (by about a ratio of 1.3, and depends on frequency of the light how much it is slower by the substance its passing through).
