I used to ride my 1959 Lodola 175 with a straight-thru mega in the 70s. It sounded awesome - no puffy air filter and almost as loud with the throttle shut! Belated apologies to the residents of Lincolnshire.......

I spent all day travelling to the factory (I was staying in Nice, France) only to find that the museum was CLOSED! Damn! But I'm going again in the Spring and I'm going to CALL FIRST to make sure it's open. Duhhhh.

"great"!! brings back memories of me and 5 mates , 2 x mk1s 3x mk2's , we all rode for about a year just with header pipes, dont know why!(most probably to poor to replace the mufflers) it was interesting watching the faces of the people who's towns we rode through. I think the only thing that made it sound better was a U shaped balance tube inline with the alternator.

@DirkDirk1983 Yeah, I know. I did this test when I was changing the silencers (from the original to a couple of Exxan in titanium). I was curious...and so I turn the key :-)
From that I made some other changes around (and inside) the engine. Last configuration is in my latest video "Ube tuning", but I did it with my cell phone so the quality is not so good

Just for try there is no problem.
The engine will surely run with an uncorrect carburation, but it doesn't damage anything. Only if you want only try as I did.
Forget it if you want to go on the street. Even if it would be permitted in your country (the noise f.e. is out of the Italian limits) I suggest you to adjust the carburation.
Anyway, the V11's engine MUST have a free exhausting system and it MUST be long with a quite big 'silencer' if you want to improve good both torque and power.
