I bought the upgraded model Jan. 09. It is easy and light to handle with all the torque you want when geared to 40 mph. Wheelie popping power will last close to an hour. For serenity and relaxation, you can't beat a quiet ride on a trail through the woods, and it will last you close to two hours. I have come around a corner and surprised deer 30 feet away. It's that quiet. And operational cost is so low. It only costs me about a dime to have all of that fun. Recharges in one to two hours. And if you have a spare battery pack, you can switch out the old one (in five minutes) and ride for another hour or two while the first one is charging. No expenses for replacement plugs, or mufflers or tune ups. I have had no problems in the rain, the snow, or a couple big mud holes. And if I want to fly through the woods on some logging roads or fire trails, I switch the rear sprocket to their 61 tooth and have a top speed of 50 (which is plenty for me).
And for the people who don't like clutches, there isn't one. You just twist the throttle and go. If you can ride a mountain bike, you can ride this bike. You just don't have to pedal or push up hill, which combined with the speed, makes this a whole lot more fun.

@highway2snell I hate to tell you but high performance electric setups sound like turbines you how everyone melts in awe of a jet engine when it starts, well it's kind of the same thing a high performance electric drive train sounds just as sweet! If you think not than you just have never heard one before!

The batteries aren't that bad 2 hours for 30 miles and that's just now there are better batteries coming like liquid carbon might bump that to 200 miles or allow a bigger motor but electric is here and will phase out fuel very quickly!

Electric won't be the only alternative, Hydro is still there and they make lots of noise, so for us noise junkies, we won't lose anything.

What ever but surely you can see that it's the future, already they'v got the things going well imagine in ten years or more when fuel is like gold & with technology these things will get cracking man together with z cars they have to work out the battery system & they will.....

Because the guy on the 250f didn't know how to ride the bike! You put a good rider on the 250f and it'd kill it! Even if it DID beat it.. it still isn't all the impressive being the 250f is a girls bike. Now if it beats a 250 2 stroke or a 450.. then that is impressive! That Electric Mustang was purely sad. Why would anything EVER in their right mind do that to such a beautiful car?
