Phoenix Comic Con 2009 autograph panel with Brent Spiner and other Star Trek cast members. My friend came up from TX just to meet Brent and the result was a very interesting conversation dealing with her name, among other things. This is my first video (I'd rather have had an anime one than a Star Trek one, but meh!) and I tribute that honor to you, J!!

@danieldeibler yea its intended for that person.. my mother was in line with mahammad ali yea i think i spelled that wrong.. anyway at an airport about 20 years ago... she got his autograph on the airport panphlat and it was made out to us at the time.. now i go uhhhhh should of just said his name...

@locutus340 I think when people have an autograph written out to their own name, they're not intending to sell it. I think the idea is to be able to look at it and say "So-and-so wrote this for ME." It has more personal value because it's personal and unique and implies that there was direct communication between them and the signer, probably in person. A souvenir in the truest sense. They can see it someday and say to themselves "Ah yes, I met So-and-so once, and he wrote this for me."

why cant they make money off signing items , most of the people who get signed items now adays make money off of them . they hound celebrities , get autographs and sell them on ebay.
