@fludblud that's because the Germans were megalomaniacs. They ignored the reality of the situation and thought they could conquer the whole world. They didn't even bother trying to gain allies.
Ironically, a Jew, Fritz Haber, was responsible for even getting the Germans to last as long as they did in WWI. Without the Haber-Bosch process, they would've run out of gunpowder, explosives and fertilizer after a year.

Incredible care was taken when choosing targets and observing the damage done over the course of the bombardment. The talking head here probably doesn't even know the difference between a bombardment and a barrage....

In ww2, not really you made out a 8th of the allied forces in normandy but in the Caen area you didnt make much progress.

@TheBestTroller Actually the Belgians. They were one to held off long enough for the French and British to organized strong defensive lines which some the German still broke though. Just think what would have happen if the British and French did not have time to do so. Outnumber and outgunned the Belgians still give the German Army a beating. Every German talking about how if they had more men. I counter by saying what if the Belgians had more men as well.
