Here's the fantastic Bruce Mathiske playing a new Ayers Nylon-Strung Guitar from the Ayers guitar range. We're working with Bruce in the hope of creating a Bruce Mathiske signature model Nylon-Strung guitar. This is the first prototype. It features an unusual relaxed cutaway [so that less of the body volume is compromised, and a relaxed upper edge for comfort. In the background you can see two more amazing Ayers instruments - a CCR and an incredible OSS.

  • is there a website with the info for this guitar??

  • @ptanenbaum Not for this particular one as it was a prototype that din't go into production. I could get one made for you by the factory, but I'd have to get a quote on production cost in the custom shop.

The actual Bruce Mathiske model that is available can be seen in the clip he has up of 'Still haven't Found What I'm Looking For'.

If you want more info send me a private message with your normal email address, so that I can send you some links etc.

  • I have actually been in the market for a good nylon string, if this does go through, roughly how much do you think it would cost?

  • @ptanenbaum There is now a BM model. If you look up a clip of Bruce playing 'I still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' you'll see him playing it. The cost would be $2800AUD including a Fishman Ellipse Blend Pickup which Bruce said is the best onstage acoustic guitar sound he's ever had. If you want one, it would take 6 to 8 weeks for manufacture. These are the best nylon-strung guitars for fingerstylists available.

  • I'm not too sure, but I think it's one of Bruce's own compositions. He's a wonderful writer as well as a fine guitarist.Check out his website for access to his recordings.
