I love how the top two comments on this video are a Brit and a German both slagging off the French.

2. Hitler promised to get rid of mass unemployment....just like every other politician!

The germans (and the austrians for that matter) weren`t victims...they were(?) the evil consensus any party would`ve needed to rule a country. From the judiciary to the farmers.... almost everyone was a nazi so a few people who tried to stop a dictator won`t condone the vast majority of the "Volk".

1. Germans were among the most educated and priviledged people of the world. So there`s no fucking excuse for letting the Nazi (who clearly said what their plans were) into politics.

Have you fucking read history?!?!?! The resistence in Germany was extremely weak compared to that in Italy and Greece!

Stop looking at the world with the "we all make mistakes" attitude. There are mistakes you should`ve been killed for!

@ThreeLions89 Most Germans voted for Hitler because he promised to get rid of mass unemployment and then they looked away when things were happening they wouldn't have agreed with. And then at the extreme ends there were those who agreed with him and on the other hand those who died trying to destroy him. Ever heard of the 'Weisse Rose', Hans & Sophie Scholl?

Stop looking at the world in either good or evil terms: it's the sign of a weak mind.

@ThreeLions89 Reading your SHOUTING comment made me realise what is different in Germany now:

1. We have learned not to trust anyone who is agressive and shouts.

2. We are taught to question everything.

3. We have learned that nothing is never either black or white. Very few people are just evil or good. Most people are somewhere inbetween.

@ThreeLions89 70 fucking years ago! i dont mean to be disrespectful but REALLY? we were a different country then, our society and attitude to war has changed immensely in the last century, and i'm sure yours has too. you cant judge 70 million people because of the decisions of a handful of our ancestors.

besides a war needs two aggressive countries, otherwise its just an attack
