This chipset is in the Palm Pre, yes, but the GPU used in the chipset is in the iPhone 3GS and the Palm Pre. As for the iPhone 3GS being slower than the Palm Pre, it's not.

you mean the omap 3430 you see here is the chipset in palm pre , and is not in the iphone. though iphone 3gs does have there own slower system chip its not this one

The GPU used here is in the iPhone 3G S. However, the iPhone's system on a chip is from Samsung, not from Texas Instruments.

That's really something awesome, I hope it gets licensed with a major phone ODM, it could really kick the iPhone interface's butt. I do wonder if the application was running it's own custom OS, or possibly Android or Linux.
