Ghangaria in Uttarakhand is base for Hemkund trek. At around 10,000', it is a picturesque valley with snow capped hills, the waterfalls and scenic surroundings captivates one's heart and soul. The trek begins early in the morning amidst the congregation of yatris. The cement paved path with gentle slope is ideal way to begin a trek. The pittoos, the ponywallas and palkiwallas offer an alternative mode of tranport to yatris who can not trek.
