This video clip is of an American Models S gauge E8, on rollers, modified for DCC with the LokSound v3.5 fully programmable and sound loadable decoder. (NOT LokSound Select) Sound project is produced from live recordings from Victorian Rail T320, 8-567B locomotive. The acceleration in this project is modeled with the following acceleration steps; n1-n3, n1-n4, n4-n6, n6-n8 and the inverses (n8-n6, etc.), which mimic prototypical driving habits. Also demonstrated in the video is manual notching. Sorry for the length, in order to make the full demo, it takes about 7 1/2 minutes. EasyDCC is the system used in this demo. A script, and more explanation of the demo is posted on Yahoo groups: LokSound, DCC-Sound, digitraxsound, and ukdccsound.

  • Well done P.!!

Yes that shows the sounds up very well. I felt like I was sitting in the cab, clipping along the flats towards Geelong. I really appreciate all the work you are putting into this, and in particular your generoius help on Loksound Yahoo and elsewhere! Nice job Sir!
