@mrbeastness11 Heavier line will not cast as far. But no matter what line you're using, you should be able to get further than 5 feet...i think you may be doing something wrong in the casting process. I would talk to someone who is good with a baitcaster, and see if you're casting right.

15 to 17 is fine for spinnerbaits, just make sure to use a quality bait with a strong hook.

i swear i cant get my baitcaster to cast more then 5 feet. Will it cast farther with a stronger line?

@mrbeastness11 Hey, check an make sure your drag is not to tight, if you use a heavy line it may not cast as far but your backlashes won't be so bad, Good luck and let me know if this doesn't work, we'll try something else.
